Eman Makki is currently a junior studying Graphic Design at Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar and is passionate about typography and books. She recently worked on a collection of blackout poems as part of a 100-day project. The project was inspired by Ernest Hemingway's six-word stories, Nayyirah Waheed's poetry, and her interest in found poetry. She started making blackout poems when she realized that there is poetry to be found in the banality of the everyday.
