Welcome to diode 9.1. To celebrate our 9th year we offer an issue jam-packed with stunning work. What an honor it is to share this issue, and this anniversary with you.
It’s an exciting time for diode and Diode Editions. We’re working on a brand new look for diode, and it should roll out over the next few issues. Law Alsobrook will be joining diode as Editor and Art Director, and Jeff Lodge will be our new Fiction Editor. diode will be accepting fiction submissions for the first time, and hope to be able to publish fiction chapbooks, and eventually full length novels, through Diode Editions.
Speaking of Diode Editions. . . . We just released 5 new chapbooks:
—Straight, sam sax
—The Goddess Monologues, by Vandana Khanna
—mercy songs, by Kai Carlson-Wee & Anders Carlson-Wee
—I Thought I Was Going to be Okay, by Peter Murphy
—Not Even Close to What She Planned On, by Sandy Gingras
