Yalonda JD Green is a poet, educator, and librarian whose transdisciplinary experiments encircle the lives and afterlives of Black women. She explores the nexus between song, story, communal memory, and improvisational performance. A daughter of Detroit and Cave Canem fellow, Yalonda’s creative work thrives on page and stage, engaging and transforming spaces of all kinds. Most recently, her poetry has appeared in Inkwell, with work forthcoming in Swamp Ape Review and in a co-edited collection, Signed, Sealed, Delivered: the Motown Poetry Revue, with Madville Publishing.
